Jeremy is an experienced Marine Scientist with a wide range of skills relating to the monitoring/assessment of marine, estuarine and coastal environments. After completing his science degree majoring in Zoology, Jeremy spent three years working in the Atlantic salmon aquaculture industry, where he was involved in a range of environmental monitoring activities and diving operations.

 

Jeremy joined Aquenal Pty Ltd in 2004 where he is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all field operations, including diving operations. Since joining Aquenal, Jeremy has coordinated and implemented field surveys at sites in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania. Jeremy has become proficient at high-accuracy marine navigation and at implementing a wide range of remote and diver sampling methodologies for assessing marine biodiversity. Jeremy also manages Aquenal’s mapping systems, contributes to reporting and has become skilled in invertebrate and fish taxonomy through field surveys and analysis of underwater video footage.

 

Jeremy began assisting Biofouling Solutions Pty Ltd (BFS) with Invasive Aquatic Species (IAS) vessel inspections in 2009 and is a recognised IAS Inspector. To date, Jeremy has successfully conducted IAS inspections and coordinated cleaning operations of vessels in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea and Western Australia.
